Leaving Timely: What Moves Across and What to Check

By Mohamed Omar, founder · Published 2026-10-23

When a UK salon leaves Timely, its clients, services and prices, staff rotas, gift vouchers, packages, loyalty points and account credit can all come across, and you can keep using Timely until the day you switch. What needs checking is what the export flattens: deposits, visits with several services, clean-up times and completed consultation forms.

What came across in a real switch

In October 2026 we moved a UK beauty salon with six therapists from Timely to TSF Booking. By the evening of the first call its new account held the full menu, every therapist’s rota with alternate Saturdays, its packages, a membership, gift vouchers and its retail range. The next morning the online booking page was live with 76 treatments in 9 categories, each therapist on their own prices. Clients, balances and loyalty points followed from Timely’s export, and the salon took its first full day of bookings on the new system eight days after that first call.

What the export gives you, and what to check

An export is a copy, so nothing is removed from Timely. These are the points that needed a second look in the export we worked with in October 2026.

Run both systems for a few days

Load a first export early, so the new system is set up with real data while the team still books in Timely. On switch day: take a final export, stop booking in Timely, and bring across anything booked or changed since the first one. Turn Timely’s reminders off before you turn the new ones on, so nobody is reminded twice. If calls go through a phone provider, ask it to forward straight to the new number with no welcome message or opening-hours rule in front. Keep your Timely login for a few weeks so you can cross-check anything that looks odd.

What the team asked for in the first week

A diary is a habit. In its first week the salon asked for the things it did every day in Timely, and most went live the same day they were asked for:

  • Overlapping appointments and starting at any 5-minute time, while online bookings keep the clean-up gaps
  • Backdating an appointment that was missed in real time, up to 30 days
  • Confirming a team booking without a deposit, and moving or cancelling without messaging the client
  • Changing the service, price or length of an appointment without cancelling it
  • Finding an existing client by name when booking, colouring the diary by treatment, and one person’s hours changed for one day
  • Printing a gift voucher to go in a greetings-card envelope, voiding a sale taken by mistake, and sending forms by text
  • Price ranges on the booking page, so a junior therapist’s lower prices are clear before a client picks a time
When you compare systems, ask how each one handles a request like these, and how long it takes.

What it costs

Timely starts from £4 a week, priced by the bookings you take. Timely’s price from its own pricing page, checked 16 October 2026. TSF Booking is £79 a month for Solo, £149 for Team, which covers up to eight bookable staff, and £299 for Multi-site, with no VAT charged and 7 days free. Every feature is on every plan, and email marketing is included free in every plan for a limited time. Prices are on the TSF Booking pricing page. If you would rather we did the move, ring 07490 007317.

Frequently asked questions

Can I keep using Timely while I set up a new system?

Yes. An export is a copy, so Timely keeps working. Set up the new system from a first export, then take a final one on the day you switch and bring across anything booked since.

Will my clients' Timely gift voucher codes still work?

In TSF Booking, yes. Imported vouchers keep their old codes and balances, so a client can redeem the code they already hold.

Do deposits paid in Timely come across?

As account credit on each client. Timely's export gives the client's balance without the appointment it was for, so match deposits to upcoming appointments and take them off at checkout.

How long does switching from Timely take?

The six-therapist salon we moved in October 2026 had its booking page live the morning after the first call, and took its first full day of bookings on the new system eight days after that call.
